DP Makers for Events: Five Tools to Compare

Compare DP makers using your own artwork, participant signup requirements, export quality and creator allowances. Clip Mask, GetDP, Twibbonize, Frameyu and EventDP describe photo-personalisation workflows, but their editing models and campaign options differ.

How were these tools selected?

This is a comparison shortlist, not a scored ranking. The criteria are published photo-personalisation workflows, suitability for shared campaign links and the information available from provider sources. Features and terms can change. Review your actual participant journey and current provider pricing before committing to a campaign. Clip Mask publishes this page and is included in the comparison.

Clip Mask

Clip Mask lets creators upload poster artwork, define photo masks and publish a shared template link. Attendees can upload a photo and download a result without an attendee account. Use it when you want to preserve your poster design while preparing specific areas for participants’ portraits. See the current plans for creator allowances.

GetDP

GetDP describes a banner workflow with avatar and name configuration followed by a shareable URL. Its public demo includes photo upload and a name field. Consider it for campaign banners that fit that documented workflow, and test the actual participant link before launch.

Twibbonize

Twibbonize describes a visual campaign workflow where supporters follow a link and add their photo. Its official design guidance distinguishes frames around photos from backgrounds behind the subject. Compare these formats against the artwork you want supporters to use.

Frameyu

Frameyu’s official About page describes supporters opening a link, uploading and exporting without an account. It states that exports are full-resolution PNGs without a watermark, including on its free option. These are the provider’s published claims; test a current export and review its plans before choosing.

EventDP

The creators’ EventDP project page describes event templates, photo uploads, live previews and downloadable DPs. That project description is dated June 2025 and is not evidence of current pricing or service availability. Check the live product and terms directly before including it in an event launch.

What should a practical trial include?

Try a close portrait and a wider photograph, open the participant link on a phone and inspect the downloaded file. Check whether your design survives the destination platform’s crop. Record creator limits, participant requirements and any branding you see in the current product. Repeat this review before your next campaign rather than relying on old feature lists.
